Height/Weight: TBD (approximately 20 lbs., according to our home scale)
Diapers and Clothes: Mostly 6-9 months, some 12 months. Size 3 diapers.
Health: No sickness this month! We are really so lucky with both you and Libby--you both seem to have some pretty good immune systems and we've managed to dodge all of the bugs that have been going around this winter so far.
Sleep: You are a great sleeper now! We finally have a pretty decent schedule nailed down and it is so nice! You take two big naps a day (about 2 hours each) and you sleep 7:00 pm-7:00 am. You'll sleep in the Ergo if needed and you'll let me rock you to sleep (which I don't do often but LOVE).
Eating: Wow, can you eat! You seriously amaze us at the quantity of food you can put away. You nurse about three times a day but it's a struggle because you're not super interested in it. You love table food and you go nuts when you see someone in the kitchen. You are so impatient when waiting for your food. Once it's in front of you, you go to town and I am not exaggerating when I say that you honestly eat as much as I do at many meals. With the exception of avocados, there really isn't much that you won't eat but you have preferences for fruit and bread products!
Baby Gear Love: Baby Bjorn plastic bibs that are so easy to clean! Robeez shoes, handmade fleece booties, or any other footwear that keeps your socks on in this cold weather! The weighted straw cup that you finally figured out how drink out of.
Likes: Faces of other babies/kids, mirrors, the dogs, the remote, food, music/dancing, your blankies, people blowing their noses
Dislikes: Books (okay maybe it's not really a "dislike" but it's worth noting that while your sister was obsessed with books as a baby and would sit looking at them forever on her own and LOVED being read to, you are the total opposite. Books do not hold your interest whatsoever and you usually squirm and fuss if we try to sit you on our laps and read to you, but you're getting better). Getting your nails clipped--I dread this task because you scream and pull your hands away the entire time. Waiting for food--you are so impatient once you see me start prepping food for you! Getting put in the car seat.
Milestones: You learned to wave "hi" this month! You started scooting on your belly--not quite an army crawl and you won't go far but it's progress! You "dance" to music (it's an exaggerated head bob and it's adorable). You're perfecting the pincer grasp and you learned how to use a straw cup.
Other Stuff to Remember: You are a happy baby and so smiley! You do have an impatient streak and you're still demanding when it comes to being held but I think it's because you just never want to miss out on being part of the action. You love to go through baskets of toys and you still put everything in your mouth. You are so easygoing now compared to those early months. You fit so seamlessly into our family and I really just can't get enough of you these days. You are so cuddly and chunky and sweet. We just adore you!
