Kickoff to Summer

It's officially summer around here! Memorial Day weekend has come and gone and school is officially out of session for Tom. Libby had her last day of school a few weeks ago as well. We are sad that our "Miss Linda" days are behind us, but are really enjoying using preschool/Miss AnneMarie as a potty training bribe (yes, we're still working out the kinks on that...don't judge).

We've been busy (still!) adjusting to life with two kids (these things take time, people). The transition to two kids has been tougher than I expected in a lot of ways. I'm still trying to figure out how to prioritize and juggle it all. Libby seems to be adjusting pretty well and Juliet hasn't threatened to call CPS on me yet, so I'd say we're doing good.

With summer in full swing, we are looking forward to knocking some projects off of our house to-do list and getting out to do some fun things with the girls.

Juliet is growing bigger every day, as babies tend to do. Check out her super inquisitive look--

Tom decided to go for the "Dad of the Year" award and washed the car with both girls one day--

We spent Memorial Day at a parade. Libby was thrilled, as clearly evidenced by this photo--

We also went to Alum Creek to do some lake swimming. If you close your eyes (and have a couple wine coolers), you can almost convince yourself you're on a real vacation--

Look how cute this kid is!--

And how weird this one is--

And check out what happened to our garage ceiling when Tom ventured into the attic (don't worry, he escaped with only five stitches and some bruises)--

Happy summer!
