Sechler/Johnson Wedding

This weekend, we drove up to DC (on Saturday morning, after a Maiden JV loss and a varsity win) for my cousin Nicole's wedding. Nicole is the next oldest cousin after me on my dad's side and she got married this weekend at Fort Belvoir. They had the ceremony at the chapel there and had the reception at the Officer's Club. Everyone was glad to be there, especially since only days before, Nicole had been hospitalized with blood clots in her lungs and she almost didn't make it to the wedding. Fortunately, they released her late Friday night and she was able to be there for all of her wedding day. Unfortunately, around 11:00 or so, they ended up having to leave the reception and take her back to the hospital for more treatment because she wasn't feeling well. She is okay now, but the honeymoon is on hiatus until she is out of the woods. Regardless of all the unfortunate-ness surrounding it, she looked great on her wedding day and everything turned out great as far as the ceremony/reception details go. Tom and I enjoyed seeing my family, even if it was for a short time, especially knowing that we won't see them at Christmas as usual this year. I will spare you from having to look at the photo taken of my cankles after spending the afternoon in high heels, but trust me, I had an awful case of Fred Flintstone feet that brought about both concern and laughter.
