Let the little children come unto Me, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. ~Luke 18:16

We're recovering from a pretty fantastic weekend here. Juliet was baptized on Sunday and we are blessed enough to have super awesome families who drove in from all over the part of her special day.

On Saturday, my grandparents from Virginia arrived, along with my parents and sister. We spent a fun evening drinking wine and catching up. On Sunday, we went to mass and then met up with Tom's parents, sister and grandmother who arrived for the baptism.

Towards the end of my pregnancy, we had started to think about godparents and quickly settled on my sister as the godmother and Tom's college friend Matt as the godfather. Both have been integral parts of our lives and have the foundations of faith that we hope to pass on to our children.

The service was lovely and even Libby managed to stay on her best behavior for the duration. Juliet slept through most of it, but woke when the water was poured on her head. Fortunately, it was over before she could really get too upset.

After the baptism, we had everyone back to our house for a reception. By the time the evening ended, both of our girls were exhausted, (as were Tom and I) but we are so glad that we were able to celebrate such a special occasion with so many important people in our lives!
