Okay, So We're Boomerang Kids...

That's what they call adult kids who move back in with their parents, you know. When we moved in with my parents way back in June, Tom and I promised ourselves we would be in a place of our own by September 1st, no excuses. Well, for those of you who may not be aware, it is now October, and we're still here. And we're getting quite comfortable the longer we stay. I promise, we will move out eventually. I just can't say when.

In the meantime, we're enjoying our first Ohio fall in four years. Libby is very into Halloween, although I'm 99.7% confident she has no idea what Halloween actually is. We've been reading books about pumpkins and she wears her pumpkin necklace every chance she gets. She loves to walk down my parents' street to see the blow-up yard decorations that the neighbors have up and she tells anyone and everyone that she's going to "be a Ha-ween cow."

Last weekend, Tom set up a booth at a fall festival in the area and we brought Libby to enjoy the hay rides, pony rides and face painting. She loved the pony ride and immediately demanded, "Yibby ride pony 'gin!" after she finished her first ride.

We are having so much fun with Libby at this age. She is developing such a personality and sense of humor, which is so fun to see. She is such a character and cracks us up on a daily basis. She loves books, and has been on a Mother Goose kick lately. Her favorite foods are chili, chips, yogurt and blackberries. She loves to push her baby dolls around in her toy stroller but chooses books over most of her other available toys. She also loves Elmo, cows, Chick-Fil-A and playing outside. She loves to sing and dance to Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and knows the words to "Call Me Maybe." Much to my dismay, she is not a "sit and color" or "let's do a puzzle" kind of kid. We're not sure where she got her fire and attitude, but we love (almost) every minute of it.
