Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Burr!

We spent last weekend in Ohio for Mike and Renee's wedding. Mike was Tom's college roommate for two years and Renee was in the Chauncey Partnership with me. We were friends with each of them before they started dating, but were super excited when they got together! They moved to Raleigh after graduation, so its been pretty easy to stay in touch and we have definitely grown to consider them some of our best friends.

They got engaged a couple weeks after our wedding last year and asked both of us to be in the wedding. Tom had to honor of being the best man, which he was pretty excited about. We drove up to Cleveland on Thursday and Tom went out with Mike for the bachelor party, while I hung out at my parents' house. On Friday, the guys played golf while my mom and I got our nails done and went to lunch. Friday night was the rehearsal dinner, which was at a nice restaurant overlooking the water. I spent the night at Renee's parents house with the rest of the bridesmaids on Friday while Tom and the guys stayed at a hotel.

Saturday was the "big day" and everything went great. The weather was beautiful! The ceremony took place at Renee's parents' church in Mentor and was a Catholic mass, while the reception was at La Malfa party center a few miles away. We took lots of pictures between the ceremony and the reception, which was exhausting! On Tom and my wedding day, it was pretty hot and humid, and we were all tired and ready to relax, so we didn't do a ton of photos between the ceremony and reception, so I hadn't realized how exhausting that can be! We didn't get to the reception hall until right before we were supposed to be announced, so it was a busy day!

It was great seeing our college friends and having everyone together again. Mike and Renee left for a cruise to Mexico on Sunday, and Tom and I went to my parents' house to have a birthday lunch (for me!) with them and his parents/grandmother before heading back to North Carolina.
